SUPERHERO KIDS BJJUNITE THE LEAGUETHEMED TOURNAMENT
One ticket. One day. Four matches. Real IBJJF refs.
Why Boise
Where real heroes are forged— not lost in 4 minutes
Most events knock kids out in round one. Here, every athlete gets real mat time.
Every hero fights — for real.
No more flying out just to lose once. Round Robin pools mean your young hero faces every athlete in their bracket.
More mat time in one day
Four real matches with IBJJF refs — more sparring than three months of class rolls combined.
IBJJF standard
Scoring, time and refereeing to the world's largest federation standard. No improvisation.
Hero Loot
More than a fight — a hero day.
Every young hero earns memories, gear and bragging rights.
Gold, silver and bronze for every weight class.
Every kid takes home a Superhero Kids eye mask.
Free event photos to share their hero moment.
Food trucks and chill area for parents and fans.

Common questions
What time do doors open and when does the event start?
Doors open at 7:30 AM. Kids divisions kick off at 9:00 AM sharp. Adult and Master brackets begin in the early afternoon. Full schedule is posted in the Schedule section above.
Where exactly is the venue and is there parking?
Ford Idaho Center Arena, 16200 Idaho Center Blvd, Nampa, ID. Free on-site parking with thousands of spaces. Easy access from I-84, exit 38.
What should my child bring on event day?
Gi (clean, in good condition), rashguard, mouthguard, water bottle, snacks and a No-Gi outfit (shorts + rashguard). We recommend flip-flops for walking off the mat. Coolers are allowed.
What's the check-in and weigh-in policy?
Check-in opens at 7:30 AM. Weigh-ins happen at check-in — bring your competition gi to weigh in with it. You have a 3 lb tolerance; over that, athletes move up one division.
What does “4 guaranteed fights” mean?
For Kids, Juvenile, Adult and Master White Belt divisions, we guarantee 4 matches — 2 no-gi and 2 gi, regardless of which format you register for. For Blue Belt and above, we guarantee 2 matches, as those divisions run Single Elimination.
My child has never competed before. Is this event for them?
Absolutely. Kids run on Round Robin pools — guaranteed matches against everyone in their bracket. It's the ideal first-competition format: real mat time, no pressure to win round one or go home.
Do I need an IBJJF membership?
No. We use IBJJF rules but don't require membership.
Is there a separate division for girls?
Yes — girls have their own divisions by age, belt and weight. Same Round Robin format.
What time does the event end?
Estimated wrap-up is between 4:00 and 5:00 PM with finals and podium ceremonies.
Can my child compete in both Gi and No-Gi?
Yes — Gi and No-Gi are included in the same registration at no extra cost.
What if there's an injury during a match?
Medical staff is on-site all day. We never pressure athletes to keep fighting — their health comes first.
Can I bring spectators?
Yes — spectator tickets sold at the door. Kids under 8 are free.
What if my child doesn't make weight?
You have a 3 lb tolerance. If your child misses weight, they'll be moved up to the next division.
How do refunds work?
Full refund guaranteed up to 3 days before the event. If for any reason your child doesn't get matches on event day, you'll receive a voucher or a full refund — your choice.
